Former English all-rounder Flintoff has been airlifted to a hospital after getting into an accident on Tuesday morning in Surrey while filming an episode for BBC show, Top Gear.
The 45 year old, filming in icy conditions at Dunsfold Park Aerodrome in Surrey on Tuesday when the accident happened. This is the second time when Flintoff survived crash. In 2019, he walked away safely from a 125mph crash, later he admitted that he had gone a few inches too far.
According to The Sun, Flintoff’s injuries are “not life-threatening”. He had been driving on the track as normal and not driving at high speed.
Freddie, taken to hospital by air ambulance shortly afterwards for further treatment. His 16-year-old son Corey said to Daily Mail, “I’m not too sure what happened but he is lucky to be alive.”
Flintoff, one of greatest all-rounder England will ever have, played 141 ODIs & 79 test matches before retiring from International Cricket. During his carrier he played a crucial role for England winning the Ashes in 2005 & 2009. He retired at age of 32.
Later, he went to have a career in television including co-presenting the hit motorshow Top Gear.
