IND vs SL: 100% crowd will be allowed for the Pink ball Test Match in Bangalore

India will take on SL in the second test match in Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore which is scheduled to commence from 12th March. Its going to be the third pink ball test organized by BCCI. Earlier, India has hosted only two day-night test matches. The first ever pink ball test was played between India and Bangladesh back in Nov 2019 in Eden Garden, Kolkata while the second test match under the lights was played between India and England in Feb 2021 at Ahmedabad.

The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) has announced today that there will be 100% crowd cheering could be seen in the upcoming day-night test match. As earlier the approved capacity was limited to 50% only due to COVID-19 related restrictions. The Karnataka state government has approved this decision after hearing from KSCA.

“KSCA is happy to inform you that there has been very good response for viewership of the India vs Sri Lanka Day-Night Test cricket match being played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore from March 12-16, 2022.

“Considering the high volume response and since there are no further restrictions for spectators, KSCA will be opening up sale of tickets for full capacity of the stadium. Additional capacity of tickets will be made available through Box Office sale on Friday, 11th March 2022 from 10 AM to 7 PM,” the statement read.

Fans may expecting century drought to end from Virat Kohli

Bangalore is known as the second home for the King Kohli as he also plays franchise cricket for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Hence fans will be expecting a handsome inning from him. However, M Chinnaswamy Stadium is one of the favourite venue for him. Fans may expect the droughtiness of the century will came to end here during the second test match against Sri Lanka.

Also, records are somehow favouring the former Indian skipper. The last International century for right-handed batter also came in the pink ball test match against Bangladesh which was held in Kolkata in November 2019.

India has taken the lead of 1-0 in the two test match series and hoping for the clean sweep again against Sri Lanka.
