The auction for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 took place in Kochi on Friday.

Many players from small towns have become rich in this auction. One of these players is left-handed batsman Vivrant Sharma from Jammu and Kashmir. Whom Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has added to their team for Rs 2.60 crore.

His base price was Rs 20 lakh and he was bought by SRH for 13 times more.

Vivrant made his debut in List-A cricket this year

Vivrant was born on October 30, 1999 in Jammu.

The 23-year-old player played his first first-class match against Madhya Pradesh on 13 December this year.

He made his debut in List-A cricket on February 21, 2021 against Saurashtra.

He played his first T20 match on November 4, 2021 against Andhra Pradesh in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. In this match, Vivrant scored 8 runs in 6 balls.

Vivrant is friend of Umran Malik

According to reports, Umran Malik and Abdul Samad are good friends of Vivrant and it was Samad who had roped him in the Sunrisers Hyderabad team in IPL 2022 as a spin bowler in the nets.
