New Year is all set to come, and the Indian Cricket Team is all set to launch it with upcoming series against Sri Lanka. The BCCI, on Tuesday, announced India’s T20I and ODI Squad.

Veteran Indian batsman Shikhar Dhawan as been left out of the ODI set-up after a poor performance against Bangladesh. Where he scored only 18 runs in three innings at a strike rate of 51.42. This happens because of his poor performance in the ODI format this year too. Dhawan scored 688 runs in 22 matches. His batting average is 34.40 and strike rate is 74.21 in 2022. This is the lowest he has ever registered since his comeback in 2013.

Hardik Pandya, the powerful hitter Batsman and Brisk seam Bowler, the Ruthless sportsman have gain the opportunity to lead India in upcoming 3 match T-20 series, with Suryakumar Yadav as Vice Captain. Skipper Rohit Sharma set to return for the three ODIs, which start after T-20 series.

Virat Kohli and KL Rahul will also not be the part of the T20I squad. Rishabh Pant not included in either the ODI or the T20I squad. While Bihari Boy Mukesh Kumar made his way in T-20 squad.

The series set to start on January 3 in Mumbai. The ODIs will be played on January 10, 12 and 15.
